This is a walkthrough for the Wayward Gun side mission in Borderlands 4. Read on to follow the objectives and clear the mission, as well as what do when PEWPEW freezes.

How to Unlock Wayward Gun
Complete A Lot to Process
You need to complete the A Lot to Process main mission first before unlocking Wayward Gun.
Once unlocked, you can start the side mission by talking to Emile in Dusk's Advent, north of Cuspid Climb.
Wayward Gun Walkthrough
Kill Guns

| 1 | Once you've accepted the mission, kill the guns or Tediores invading Dusk's Advent. |
| 2 |  After dealing with Tediores, talk to Bash. She's in her house just across the bridge. |
| 3 |  Head southwest to the ammo storage. Be ready, as there will be more Tediores in the area. |
| 4 |  Disable the barrier by destroying the generators. The first generator is on top of the ammo storage. For the second generator, follow the powered line from the storage and climb up the shed to reach the generator inside. |
| 5 | Once the barrier is down, take the Catch-tainers from the storage. |
| 6 |  Follow the marked location to the side of the road and place the Catch-tainers. Take a Catch-tainer and throw it at the Tediore offsprings nearby. You need to trap five Tediores. |
| 7 |  The Bomb Squad will then appear to attack you. Kill them to proceed. |
| * | While optional, you can capture six extra Tediores on the other side of the road. Doing so will earn you a better mission reward. |
Defeat PEWPEW

| 1 |  Travel southwest to reach Rock Bottom in Cloudbank. Kill more Tediores in the area. |
| 2 |  Follow the marked location and use your grappling hook to climb the building. Battle PEWPEW's army. |
| 3 |  Use the ladder at the corner and glide across the gap. Climb the wall to enter the GIM. |
| 4 |  Defeat PEWPEW once and for all! Note that you may encounter a bug where PEWPEW freezes and cannot take damage. You can fix this by performing a melee attack on him. Otherwise, reloading the game should resolve the issue. |
| 5 | Interact with the computer nearby reboot the GIM score, completing the mission. |

Completing Wayward Gun will also reward you with the Loyal Customer Vault Hunter Style and Loyal Customer ECHO-4 Paintjob, which you can use in the Customization menu.
