Is Buling Playable?
Currently Not a Playable Character
Buling is not officially announced as a playable character in Wuthering Waves. While her quirky personality and unique design stands out from other NPCs, she has yet to be officially teased as an upcoming playable Resonator.
Has a Visible Tacet Mark on Her Neck
During Buling's scenes in Septimont, players are able to see her Tacet Mark in multiple occasions. Tacet Marks indicate that a character is a Resonator, so there is a chance that she might be a playable character in the future.
Who is Buling?
A Traveling Taoist from Mengzhou
Buling introduces herself as a traveling Taoist from Mengzhou. She engages in occult practices that are likely part of Mengzhou's culture. These spiritual traditions are briefly mentioned in the story, but subtly assist Rover during their stay in Septimont.
Jianxin's Fellow Disciple
Buling mentions that she once trained under the same master as Jianxin and is a friend of hers. After the events in Huanglong, it is implied that the two meet up together before Rover sets foot in Septimont.
An Ally During Septimont's Main Quest
In Septimont, Buling acts as an ally to Rover in solving the mysteries surrounding the city-state. She gives them the Copper Mirror of Truth, which ends up being a pivotal tool to unravel the interwoven stories by Cristoforo's making.
