The current cycle of Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways runs from September 15 to September 22, 2025. The game mode resets every Monday so be sure to claim as many rewards as you can by then!
| Date | Historical Changes |
|---|---|
| September 1 to September 8, 2025 | Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways released with a new cycle, Week 27 - Birth of Darkness. This revamp features an improved interface, new Metaphors, and an extra stage. |
| August 25 to September 1, 2025 | The game mode underwent maintenance to add new changes announced by the 2.6 Livestream. |
| February 24 to August 25, 2025 | A new cycle was run per week. Weeks 2 to 25 started and ended every Monday to start the succeeding cycle. |
| February 17 to February 24, 2025 | The Game mode was officially launched. This cycle is considered as Week 1. |

・All Resonators in the team gain 30% Fusion DMG Bonus. ・Dealing Fusion DMG gains extra Dreamscape Energy. |

Temporal Maze is the featured level in Week 29 of Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways. Fusion Resonators are greatly buffed by the Dreamscape Aid and are the recommended characters when playing through this cycle.

Aid Resonators receive a 150% Illusive Points Bonus when used in the game mode's cycle, which nets you 6,000 Illusive Points instead of the usual 4,000 from non-Aid Resonator runs. This allows you to do just one run in the cycle to collect all rewards for the week.
This week features some Fusion Resonators currently available in the game and we recommend using any of these characters. Even using just one of them will let you get all rewards for the cycle in just one run.

In this week's cycle of the game mode, Fusion teams are highly recommended due to the buffs they receive from the Dreamscape Aid. They will be able to maximize the effects of the Dreamscape Aid for an easier time.

You can also get away with using Mortefi as sub-DPS for non-Fusion teams. Do note though that you will not be able to maximize the DPS-centric Dreamscape Aid since Mortefi is not your Main DPS.
Nevertheless, having even just one of the Aid Resonators, in this case Mortefi, will net you the maximum points and rewards for the cycle.

Thankfully, Chixia is an aid resonators that is obtainable for free so we have an actual free to play team this time.
We opted to have her be supported by a Yuanwu and Baizhi because they are completely free-to-play as well, though you can also replace Yuanwu with a Sanhua.
| Best Sigils | Best Characters & Explanation |
|---|---|
| Blizzard |
Great source of damage that increases Resonance Skill DMG. This improves Concerto Energy generation and is great for Changli and Chixia teams. |
| Blaze |
Great for any character that scales off Basic Attack DMG, as they can easily summon the fireballs for extra damage. This is great for teams that feature Brant and Encore. |
| Shield | A metaphor that gives a very strong shield, so you basically will not be taking damage from enemies. It also improves Heavy Attack DMG, making it good for Resonators that scale off it, like Jiyan and Augusta if you opted to use them with Mortefi. |
| Other Metaphors | |
|---|---|
| Price of Demolishment | Great Metaphor in general due to the high ATK buffs you get. This can be used by all of the recommended teams. |
| Wonderland Phantasm | This Metaphor extends the duration of Divined Dream, making your Sigil significantly stronger when active. |
| Wind Seeker | Slightly causes a longer trigger interval for the Sigil chosen, but greatly improves DMG bonus. This is best paired with metaphors that reduce Sigil trigger intervals. |
| Power Hammer | Slightly reduces the duration of Divined Dream, but significantly boosts all Resonators' DMG for all types. |
| Captain's Dog Tag | Greatly increases your Crit. Rate, letting you hit Critical attacks more often. |
| Obsession for Devastation | A general metaphor that gives ATK. Most Resonators scale off this stat, so it's worth picking up. |
Sigils are chosen at the start of the game and drastically change how you play the game mode because of their effects. Get the Core Metaphors for these Sigils during your run and supplement it with other metaphors that work well for your team.
You can reroll sigils by finishing one stage of the game mode and quitting midway. Be sure to choose End and Finalize to finish the run, and restart from the beginning. This should allow you to get a new set of sigils, in case the old one does not make sense for your current character pool.

Select three Resonators and form a team that you will be using for Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways. These Resonators cannot be edited during a run, so you should customize their Echoes, Weapons, and Skills before starting the game mode.
Dreamscape Aid Resonators will be recommended per week, as they maximize the Dreamscape Aid buffs the most and gain 150% Bonus Illusive Points when played, which is necessary to get all rewards quickly!

Upon selecting your team, you will immediately select a Sigil to help you in the game mode. These Sigils have great effects on the game mode, essentially changing how you play when doing your run. Do note that these cannot be changed once a run has started.

Sigils have designated Core Metaphors that give bonus effects when you have them. These Metaphors will naturally show up while playing in the game mode. Choose them whenever they show up in the Metaphor selection.

Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways has multiple Memory Zones that you need to clear. Each time you clear a Memory Zone, a Metaphor gets rewarded to you. Make sure to pick the best one that matches your playstyle and synergizes with your team.
There are special Metaphors that are tied to the Sigil chosen and add on to its effects. Select them whenever they show up.

There are cats hidden in some rocks with gylphs on them. Destroy the rock formations, as some of them hide Dream Cats that give extra Metaphors.

Divined Dream is an enhanced state in Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways that greatly improves the effects of the Sigil you have when it is active. This can be activated by getting Dreamscape Energy from attacking enemies in the game mode.
Once you have the Dreamscape Energy to full, indicated by a 4th icon below your Resonators, you have to manually activate it for it to work.

In Memory Zones 7 and 13 where bosses will be residing in, Remnant Crystals will form once you defeat them. Use your Waveplates to get Unborn Echoes, which let you roll for Echoes of any Tacet Field in the game!
This is pretty helpful, especially when you're pre-farming an Echo set that is not yet available.

The Sub-Memory Zone is an extra area in Fantasies of the Thousand Gateways where you can fight a stronger boss for additional Illusive Points. This boss is significantly stronger than other enemies with a thicker HP bar than ones in Memory Zone 7 and 13.

Unborn Echoes allow you to choose to roll an echo from any tacet field of your choice! The pool of tacet fields are based on the current line up of tacet fields.

Does anyone know if kuro is going to release the something like the previous version of the Illusive realms? because this version is "ok" but extremely unsatisfying to play..... the Rewards match the short amount of time you have to go through it, but its just the previous version of The Illusive realms gave you a type of build up so you felt like you actually accomplished something for finishing them and gaining all the rewards unlike this one...
