Wuthering Waves Version 1.2 "In The Turquoise Moonglow" has been released last August 15, 2024! The update looks to feature Jinzhou's own festival featuring Zhezhi and Xiangli Yao!

Version 1.2 New Characters and Weapons
New Characters
Zhezhi
Zhezhi is a new 5-star Glacio Rectifier character that joins the Wuthering Waves character pool in Version 1.2!
Her banner is the first to run for Version 1.2 so we will be able to get this adorable painter first!
Xiangli Yao
Xiangli Yao is a new 5-star Electro Gauntlet character that joins the Wuthering Waves pool in Version 1.2! His banner will run on the second half of Version 1.2 after Zhezhi.
It has also been confirmed that Wuthering Waves will be giving away a free copy of Xiangli Yao during the second half of Version 1.2!
You can win this free copy of Xiangli Yao by garnering popularity in the By Moon's Grace event in Version 1.2 and claiming it via the Converging Paths event available on September 7, 2024.

Rime-Draped Sprouts
Rime-Draped Sprouts is the limited 5-star Rectifier weapon that would feature alongside Zhezhi's Banner in Version 1.2! This is Zhezhi's signature weapon so if you want her, considering getting this Rectifier as well!

Verity's Handle is the limited 5-star Gauntlet weapon that would feature alongside Xiangli Yao's Banner in Version 1.2! This is Xiangli Yao's signature weapon and considering we are getting a Xiangli Yao for free, maybe think about getting this one!

Zhezhi Companion Quest
Zhezhi's Companion Quest titled True Colors is in Version 1.2! Expect to see a deep dive on the lore and story of the charming painter introduced in Version 1.2!
Vigil of Endless Night
A new exploration quest also unlocks in Version 1.2. It is required that you finish Chapter 1, Act 7: Thaw of an Eon before this unlocks though!

By Moon's Grace
Considered to be the major event of Version 1.2, By Moon's Grace is the moon-chase festival of Wuthering Waves. This event would see you help in preparing for the Moon-Chase Festival in Huanglong!
This is also where you would get the free 5-star Resonator, Xiangli Yao!

Gifts of Lunar Radiance is a 7-Day Log-In Event where players will be able to log in to receive a total of 5 Radiant Tides and 5 Lustrous Tides!

Defend the towers to assist with Encore's tests in this new Defense event, Do Echoids Dream of Electric Sheep? Receive rewards and test out various characters in this special event featuring Encore!

Depths of Illusive Realm (Version 1.2)
The doors to a new version of the Depths will open in Version 1.2! Go through each difficulty and collect rewards like the new Phantom Echo for Dreamless!

The second run of Alloy Smelt is also in Version 1.2! Accumulate points as you go through different battles in this combat event!
Reprise of Tides
Reprise of Tides is a new event for returning Rovers added in Version 1.2. Collect rewards by completing daily check-in and tasks to get you caught up with Wuthering Waves! Welcome back!
Version 1.2 Fixes and Optimizations
Lots of fixes and optimizations are being released continuously to better the overall experience of Rovers in Wuthering Waves. According to a recent developer blog, here are what we can expect in Version 1.2:
- Waveplate Storage System
- Hoverdroid: Shooter
- Custom Lock-On Feature
- New Resonator Showcase
- 120FPS Option
- New Depth of Illusive Realm Rewards
- Increased Guidebook Activity Points
Waveplate Storage System
Wuthering Waves has confirmed that the Waveplate Storage System is coming to Version 1.2! Players that reaches the 240 Waveplate cap will generate Waveplate Crystals instead which charges at a slower rate of 12 Waveplate Crystals per minute. Please take note that you can store a total of 480 Waveplate Crystals and will not receive more when this limit is reached.
Take note that you exchange 1 Waveplate Crystal for 1 Waveplate, so it is still not recommended to go over 240 waveplates as you are essentially charging waveplates at a much slower pace.
Waveplate Recharge Rate and How to Restore
Hoverdroid: Shooter
A new utility tool that allows you to shoot things at a distance will be available in Version 1.2! This is especially useful when your team is mostly lacking a Pistol character and need to solve an overworld puzzle - so you don't have to switch to an extra Pistol character all the time.
Custom Lock-On Feature
Several quality of life features are also coming to Wuthering Waves 1.2 where you can now have multiple ways on how the game will lock-on enemies based on your combat preferences.
New Resonator Showcase
From Version 1.2, players can now view and display the Convene scenes of resonators you can pull via the Resonator Showcase feature.
The Resonator Showcase feature will let you select 3 characters to display in your profile, for everyone to see!
120 FPS Option!
For players that have beefy devices, a 120 FPS option will be available for PC!
New Depths of Illusive Realm Rewards
Depth of Illusive Realm will receive more rewards in Version 1.2! It will focus more on items that will help players level up their Resonators.
These items will be available during the second half of each Version update. Players will be notified of these additional items via mail, so look out!
Increased Guidebook Activity Points
In Version 1.2, some daily activity will now net you with more Activity Points so you can reach the 100 Activity Point requirement daily! For example, Spend 180 Waveplates will now give you +60 activity points, from +20 in Version 1.1!
