How to Unlock the Ultrasonic Pulse Chip
Unlocked Through the Stygian Lacrimosa Quest
To unlock the Ultrasonic Pulse Chip, the player must go through the Stygian Lacrimosa quest. In the quest, a researcher will ask you to retrieve a Backpack, which contains the item inside.
How to Use the Ultrasonic Pulse Chip
Set the Chip to the Utility Wheel
To use the Chip, set it to the bottom slot of the Utility Wheel.

| 1 |  Open the Main Menu and click on the arrow to move to the next page of icons. |
| 2 |  Select the Utilities icon in the second page. |
| 3 |  After clicking on Utilities, select the highlighted bottom-most slot. |
| 4 |  Select the Chip from the Specials Tab, and click Equip. |
Afterwards, open the Utility Wheel in the overworld and select the appropriate slot. Use the Ultrasonic Pulse Chip by pressing the Utility Key.

What Does the Ultrasonic Pulse Chip do?
Produces a Vortex that Cleans Mud and Mud-Shields
The Ultrasonic Pulse Chip releases a Vortex that clears away patches of mud on the ground.
Tacet Discords in the patches of mud gain an unbreakable shield, and the only way to remove it is to clean the mud with the vortex. This will also remove the mud shield of any enemy hit by the vortex.
