How to Unlock Secret Investigation
Explore the Southern Part of the Map
The starting location for Secret Investigation will become indicated on the map once you have explored farther into the southern regions, around the area between Jinzhou City and Port City of Guixu.

Talk to Qianshian
In order to initiate the quest, start a conversation with Qianshian located at an outpost West of Lake Deerslumber.
Gather Exile Clothing
Go to the two marked quest locations and defeat the Exiles present in those areas to collect the pieces of clothing needed for your disguise. Head back to Qianshian in order to be briefed afterwards.

Qianshian will give you a profile of the person you will attempt to impersonate for this infiltration mission. He will then proceed to question you after you have given the profile a read-through.
Incorrect answers have no consequences during his line of questioning, so do not worry about failing to answer any questions.
What Was the Profession of Qiao Sheng and Qiao Yang’s Mother?
Qiao Sheng and Qiao Yang's mother, Lin Ru, was a Teacher according to the profile briefing.
What Was the Cause of Qiao Sheng's Right Leg Injury?
Qiao Sheng got the injury on his right leg due to a botched attempted shoplifting at 9 years old.
What Does Qiao Sheng's Friend Kuixiao Like Doing?
Kuixiao was an IT Manager and liked Studying Technologies by his lonesome.
Infiltrate the Exile Camp
Set the Time to 21:00
Head over to your menu screen and select the Set Time button next to the Mail button. There, you can set the current time to 21:00 and hit confirm, which will advance the quest forward and allow you to infiltrate the camp.
Stay Away From the Dogs
Qianshian advices you to be extra cautious of the dogs around the area as they could easily blow your cover. Any other Exiles that might be alerted by your presence will be indicated by a diamond above their head with an eye icon.
Avoid them by maneuvering toward the far sides of the camp and making sure to keep your distance from them. Attempt further access to the camp by talking to the Exiles stationed by the checkpoint.
Distract Kuixiao
After failing to gain further entry into the camp, follow the marker and ride the elevator up to where Kuixiao is and attempt to distract him from his current location.
Answer Kuixiao's Question
Kuixiao will ask you if you would like a hot meal, which will let him know if you are the real Qiao Yang. Responding with "Both of us are not fans of hot food" will successfully make him leave the area and let you take the note he leaves.
Distract Xiyun
After gaining access to the camp, distract Xiyun so that she leaves her post by destroying one of the signal transmitters in the camp. While she checks on it, you can enter the room she was in and begin transmitting the data needed.
Defeat Exiles
As you exit the area, nearby Exiles and dogs will be alerted to your presence and trigger a cutscene. Leaving this cutscene will then initiate a fight with the entire camp.
After defeating all of the Exiles, report back to Qianshian in order to finish the quest.
