Wuthering Waves - How to Change the Main Character

The Rover is the main character in Wuthering Waves, and the players will have the opportunity to name them as they see fit. Read on to learn more about naming the Rover in the game, as well as changing their name later in the game!

Change in Settings

Wuthering Waves - Changing Rover

Players can change Rover's name in the settings, with a specific icon of a pencil right next to the Rover's current name. This was confirmed in CBT2.

New Change Will Show in Story and in Co-op

Mostly, the new name will show up immediately in the story, cutscenes and in co-op mode when playing the game with other players. So long as the new name does not violate any part of the community rules, any name should be fine.

At the start of creating a new account, the player will have the opportunity to name their selected Rover that will be with them for the entirety of the game. Players can change it at any time, so feel free to get creative.

Character Limit Set

There is a set limit for naming the Rover to make sure their name does not get too long. This is for consistency's sake as the Rover's name will be used in cutscenes as well that involve them.
